Art Lessons via Zoom, Skype and Facetime
for individuals and groups
These sketches were completed by a 13 year old young man completely online, over three x 1 hour lessons.
He is now 14 and is regularly completing artworks like these with me via FaceTime.
"My son, Michael (13), has started online art lessons with Jeanni and he is thoroughly enjoying them. He previously had some lessons with her while on holiday in Cornwall and he was so inspired that he wanted to learn more from her. Fortunately for him, Jeanni offers online lessons so he now has weekly online classes with her from our home in London. He has produced some impressive artwork based on what he is learning. During lockdown, I decided to treat myself and my daughter to art lessons with Jeanni. As we
couldn't come to the beach, I thought it would be nice to bring some of the Mawgan Porth
spirit to us. We had lessons with Jeanni via Zoom, on sketching and perspective, and a
painting lesson on the beach, which was my daughter's favourite. I went from low confidence
in my ability as an artist to rediscovering my childhood love of painting, and being really happy
with the results. Jeanni's unique method of teaching really helped me to unlearn some of my
limiting beliefs about my own ability to create and helped me to understand why things looked
'wrong'- so that I could correct the mistake- rather than just being left scratching my head and
thinking that it was me that was a klutz.
Lessons via Zoom with Jeanni work really well, and the face to face lesson on the beach was
definitely a highlight of our holiday- coming away with an amazing painting each to display at
home. One of the most amazing things about Jeanni is her support outside of the lessons-
she's always been ready to help with some feedback on a painting or a sketch. You really feel
like part of her tribe when you're one of her students. I couldn't be prouder now that I am
painting pieces that are good enough to be sold on Jeanni's website and in her shop. Painting
with Jeanni has definitely been the silver lining to come out of my lockdown cloud and I
couldn't be more grateful.
