Revisiting Cornwall… Through Art and Memory

Today’s Zoom art lesson with a client in Brighton reminded me how powerfully art connects us to memory.
She was recreating the view that had stayed with her long after the holiday ended… the calm water, the colour of the hydrangeas, the light shifting across the bay.


As she worked, her smile said everything… a mix of pride, peace, and the quiet joy of rediscovery. That’s the beauty of teaching through understanding, not copying. Once you know how to see, the world opens up again – wherever you are.


Art is knowledge, therapy, and time travel all at once.
