A gentleman who had bought one of my paintings from Betty’s Surf Store, Mawgan Porth, came back to see me. The title was May Dream, Mawgan Porth… and the family name is May. He had chosen it in memory of her. It felt like a moment of pure connection.
Later, his sister-in-law bought a painting too — her way of honouring her sister. One life remembered through two paintings, carrying meaning far beyond the canvas. So many other lovely things happened yesterday, but this one touched me deeply. It’s a privilege and a joy to be able to help people at such a hard time… and to witness how art can bring comfort, memory and light even in loss.
